I don't like eating period after I brush my teeth, except for maybe sugarless gum. It's just bad in general to have food sitting on them after brushing.

Anything you eat/drink (except water) causes erosion to the enamel of your teeth. Enamel, as far as I know can never be replaced once its gone, so it would be a pretty good idea to stop eating after you brush your teeth.

Technically, no. True tooth enamel is generated by the body when we're very young and we are unable to regenerate it later in life. In most cases of wear and tear or injury to a tooth, dental professionals are able to rectify missing areas by using synthetic enamel substitutes.
