exactly so it makes sense that everyone that lies is also telling the truth because to lie is to bend the truth
only if the lie is even based on the truth. What if someone just randomly says something obscene and unexpected, not even remotely close to the truth.
Only in certain circumstances is a lie based off a truth or even know the truth.

This sounds like some badly appropriated question from a legit philosophical dilemma that is no longer legit
Lies are essentially related to truths (but are not "essentially truths", which is what you said, because the alteration may have changed its "essence"/identity) but truths are never essentially related to lies. It may give rise to lies, such as how black gives way to define shades of grey.
But nothing has ever implied that they're essentially interchangeable. So it's not really a dilemma.
